Gerbera Daisy Care
.Remove the plastic cover from the flower.
.Cut about 2.5 centimeters from each root with a sharp knife or scissors while holding the stem under water or in running water in the sink. Before the freshly cut part gets dry transfer to an arrangement or other pot.
.You can arrange the freshly cut Gerbera in water, which you will add the best, quality flower preservative. In order to extend the life of the Gerbera, the preservative should be used as much as recommended. Water softener should not be added.
.Immediately after cutting parts from the stem, place the gerbera in a clean and deep vase, in which you put the hot (about 38 degrees centigrades) preservative solution. The flowers should be kept in a cool, dark room or refrigerator for 2 or 3 hours so that they "get used to" before they get arranged.
.The most important factor that extends the life of flowers is the temperature. The arrangement done with freshly cut gerbera should be stored in a cool place where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight and airflow.
.Gerbera is kind of a water-hungry flower. You should frequently check whether if the vase is full, and preservative solution should be added. You should always give attention to the fact that the foam is completely saturated, and the water level should be measured every day.
.Bacteria can clog the body of gerbera. This can cause the flower's neck to bend. Clean water should be used and preservatives should be renewed every 1-2 days.
